A pair of high scoring road games earned UW-Parkside senior forward Quincey Moman a share of the Great Lakes Valley Conference player of the week honors in early January. Moman shared the accolade with Quentin Smith of Northern Kentucky.
Quincey poured in 33 points on 10-of-18 shooting, was 6 of 6, on three-point shots, and was 7 of 8 at the free throw line in the 59-58 loss at Indianapolis Jan. 9. Two days later, he scored 24 points on 8-of-13 shooting as UW-Parkside beat Saint Joseph's, 100-71.
"Quincey has been on fire and he is a big reason why we have been playing well as a team," said Rangers head coach Jeff Rutter. "His energy and confidence levels are high and he’s playing with a lot of aggression."
Quincey's numbers for the award-winning week: 57 points, 18 of 31 field goals (58.1 percent), 8 of 9 three-pointers (88.9 percent), 13 of 14 free throws (92.9 percent), 12 rebounds (6.0 rpg), two assists and two steals.
