2008 UW-Parkside Puma Classic Rules
Check In.....
All coaches must check in at the concession stand located next to Field #1. You MUST...
– Have a copy of the official state roster.
– Have all liability release forms.
– Have player passes available.
– Have travel permits (for out of state teams).
– Have guest player forms (3 per team).
Rules.....
As per USYSA regulations. Absolutely NO PROTESTS!
– The tournament reserves the right to combine age groups if necessary.
– Kick offs will be determined by coin toss prior to game.
– All players must be USYSA registered.
– Shin guards required.
– No casts allowed as per WYSA rules. This includes any hard protective covering.
– Red card = ejection and one game suspension. Second red card = removal from tournament. This applies to both coaches and players.
– Fighting = automatic removal from the rest of tournament. Red cards reported to your home state office.
– Game length = 2x25 minutes.
Point System.....
– Win = 6 points
– Tie = 3 points
– Loss = 0 points
– Shutout = 1 point
– Goals = 1 point for each goal up to a maximum of three points per game.
– Forfeit = 3-0 win, 10 points.
Tie Breaker.....
– #1, head to head
– #2, goal differential (÷/-)
– #3, goals allowed
– #4, penalty kicks
Awards.....
– Team and individual awards for First and Second Place in six and eight team brackets. First Place awards if less than six teams per bracket.
Finals.....
– 2x5 minute overtimes, then kicks from the spot. We will follow FIFA guidelines.
Uniforms.....
– Team listed first is the home team and responsible to change in case of color conflict.
Weather.....
– This is a rain or shine tournament. We will play if there is rain. Games will be halted in case of lightning. The tournament holds the right to shorten, suspend or cancel games due to weather or field conditions. As we enter this type of pre-season tournament we know the risk of bad weather is possible, no refunds will be given!
Concessions.....
– Our concession stand is located between Field #1 and Field #4.
Parking.....
– Please cooperate with the people assisting in the parking lot. Be sure to give your parents copies of the field maps. All fields can be accessed by walking. Fields #1 - #5 are best reached from the lot on Wood Road, Highway G. Fields #6 -# 8 are best reached by parking in the Sport & Activity Center lot off of Highway JR. DO NOT PARK along the roadways, shoulders of the road or in the apartment complex parking lots. YOU WILL BE TICKETED AND TOWED!
Tournament T-shirts.....
We will have the same company as last year. They will have t-shirts with your players names on the back of the shirt. These are for sale at the site and not included in your entry fee.
