The U S Open is the only contest for which report results for both
supervised ("proctored") and unsupervised students. The proctored
contest will be available ONLY on Thursday, 24 April. If you wish
to enter the proctored contest (and all USA students are encouraged
to do so), make sure you have identified a supervisor ("proctor")
who is a responsible adult (e.g., teacher, parent, librarian, or
neighbor). They must be present to supervise each competitor who
cites them as his/her proctor. After the contest, they must certify
that the student did not break any rules. Proctors should register
at http://ace.delos.com/usacoregister and should specify the
nickname/handle "Proctor". Proctors who have already registered DO
NOT NEED TO REGISTER AGAIN.
Non-USA students (and anyone who is not supervised) can compete in
the contest as normal on 25-28 April.
I am pleased to announce that we're working extra hard to have great
tasks for the U S Open; I am sure they will please you for their
interest and challenge.
