Where will you live in the fall? University Apartments

Best place to study: 3rd floor of the library

Best place to eat in Kenosha or Racine: The Boathouse

Favorite activity/place off-campus: I love my family and friends and its great living closer to home being able to not miss a beat. I like traveling and playing with my black lab, Ruby. I just love to experience new things.

Best class so far: WOMS 110- Intro to Women and Gender Studies- different and very interesting.

Best Professor: Dr. Martinez- she showed me that hard work can get you anywhere!

Best thing about being a student at UW-P: I really enjoy being a Parkside Ranger because it has given me a positive, uplifting, beautiful environment full of opportunities to find myself, help me reach my full potential, capture my goals and grasp my dreams. The professors here are very kind and want you to push yourself and are willing to supply extra time and help for you to succeed.

Why did you pick UW-P? Parkside has a very good Applied Health Science program that attracted me and when I took a tour of the school I knew this was the school for me! I wanted to stay close to home yet be my own person. I always have felt safe and empowered to walk on this campus!

Best advice for getting the most out of college: As a first generation college student, I asked a lot of questions! It is important to fully understand what is needed to be done and the expectations that need to be met. Along with building connections having fun with a smile is not to be forgotten!
