Why did you choose UW-Parkside?
I chose Parkside because it was close to both my sister who lives in Milwaukee area and my mother who lived in Illinois. In addition, Parkside is a UW system school, so I knew that I would get a great Pre-Health and Biology program. Furthermore, Parkside fits my style of a smaller school, where I can be in close contact with my professors and peers.

What have you enjoyed most about UW-Parkside?
I've really enjoyed the smaller campus and classrooms at parkside. I feel like all the professors are just around the corner, and throughout my college career so, I have met some of the best teachers! I love the Biology program here at Parkside and I am always eager to come back and learn.

What are your extracurricular activities?
I am currently a Treasurer for the Pre-Health Club, and a Peer Health Educator. I also work as a Production Services Tech for the Parkside Student Center. I regularly volunteer for Prevent Blindness, and whatever is on the Volunteer table on the bridge at Parkside. I've been a swimmer since high school, and I love the pool at Parkside. I also play a lot of basketball and really enjoy the new weight room. In whatever spare time I have left, I dabble in music production and play instruments, as well as voice act. I like to do a little bit of everything.

What would you say to someone considering UW-Parkside?
Parkside is the place to go if you want to have smaller class sizes, which means more interaction with professors. Parkside is the place to go if you want a strong Biology/Pre-Health program. Parkside is the place to go if you want to get involved with the community, and finally give back to others. Parkside is the place to go if you want to meet awesome people like me who would love to help you get your foot in the door into the world of higher education.
