SUMMARY:Annotation and Identification Day Event
LOCATION:The Library
DESCRIPTION:The UW-Parkside Library and the UW-Parkside Natural History Collection
are hosting an inaugural Annotation / Identification Day Event\, January
	9th from 8am to 4pm. Get a behind-the-scenes look at our invertebrate
collections\, meet invertebrate experts\, learn about the value of
museum collections\, and discover how to make museum collections more
accessible.\n\nDuring this one-day identification blitz\, we will label
and organize specimens from the UWP Natural history collection.
Throughout the day we will tally the number of specimens processed and
report the total number at the end of the day. You are welcome to
participate for an hour or two\, or stay for the entire event!\n\nPlease
let Jessica Orlofske (orlofske@uwp.edu) know if you are able to attend
and if there is a particular group of specimens you would like to
examine. Microscopes and other standard laboratory equipment is
available on site. We also have students willing to help! If you have
any special requests or interests\, please let us know and we can try to
	make accommodations.\n\nhttps://libguides.uwp.edu/invertebrateinsights
