Emergency Grant

UW-Parkside has received emergency funding from the Federal stimulus and from the generous donation of the UW-Parkside Foundation's Future Focus Fund to assist you with pandemic-related needs. If you have been financially impacted as a result of COVID-19, you can request emergency funding.

Emergency funding options are available for tuition and other institution expenses (housing, meal plan, etc) or for expenses experienced outside of UW Parkside, like food, rent, medical expenses, utilities, or technology needs. Students will select how they would like funds to be processed as part of their application. Funding can either be applied towards their balance at UW-Parkside, or refunded directly for personal expenses. The largest portion of emergency funding has been made available via Federal Stimulus dollars. To qualify for federal funding, the applicant must:

  • Be a US Citizen or eligible non-citizen 
  • Have a FAFSA on file in a recent academic year
  • Demonstrate need either via the FAFSA or via the application
  • Be registered and attending in Spring 2021

Students not meeting the above criteria may qualify for assistance via the Future Focus Fund, but as funding in limited, requests may not be fully funded. Any student who does not qualify for emergency funding will be reviewed for all other aid opportunities, including loans.
