High impact organizations have high impact boards. In this session, you will learn the fundamentals of nonprofit governance. We will explore topics including: roles and responsibilities of boards vs. staff, board culture, structures and meeting management, recruitment of board members that reflect the diversity of the organization’s stakeholders, board education and board leadership development. At the end of the day, you will leave with an outline of ideas for a governance development plan to share with your board as you work toward moving your organization toward greater impact together.
