Program Evaluation Workshop
The University of Wisconsin-Parkside Program Evaluation Research Center (PERC) is offering a full day interactive hands on workshop in Program Evaluation for program practitioners in Southeastern Wisconsin. This is an introductory program evaluation workshop.
The participants of the workshop will be able to:
- Gain a basic knowledge of evaluation basics and practical evaluation approaches
- Create a quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods approach to data collection
- Apply the method to a real world case scenario and your own work
Section 1 | 9am-11:30 am | Basics of Evaluation and Its Application
The morning session is focused on the basics of evaluation. The following topics will be covered:
-Why do evaluations?
-The evaluation process
-Logic models
-Key evaluation questions
-Case Study: Applying what you’ve learned
Section 2 | 1pm-3:30pm | Methodologies of Evaluation and their Application
The afternoon session will cover the following data collection methods:
-Qualitative, quantitative, and mixed methods
-Reporting
-Budgeting
-Apply a method to create your own evaluation plan
