MUSIC: Dúo Belcorde Special Concert
On Monday, April 15, Dúo Belcorde, Manuel Briega (violin) and Adrián Fernández (Spanish guitar), will come to Parkside to perform a free concert at 3:30 p.m. in the Bedford Concert Hall at the Rita Tallen Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities.
This special concert will feature Spanish works and masterpieces composed between the 17th and 20th centuries, including a selection of pieces from the time of Miguel de Cervantes, one of the world’s pre-eminent novelists and author of Don Quixote, as a tribute to the famed Spanish writer. As Don Quixote himself said, “Where music exists, there be no bad thing.”
Following the concert, the duo will discuss their music and experiences in an interactive Q & A session. This event is free and open to the public. Free parking will be available in Lots B & C in front of The Rita. This special concert and masterclass is a stop on Dúo Belcorde’s international tour, “Made In Spain: Spanish Music,” that has included venues in Japan, Morocco, Turkey, Australia, New Zeland, China, and more.
