A participatory performance by Marcela Torres
Oct 17 | 4-5 pm | Fine Arts Gallery
Marcela is a martial arts practitioner and visual artist whose projects investigate issues of representation around race and identity, using a diversity of approaches as both an artist and athlete.
H.O.R.S.E. is both an artist talk as much as a participatory game. Torres will introduce their practice and speak towards ideas of performance history and theory, along with parallel prompts and games activating the audience. This format is meant to embed knowledge as a bodily sense of memory. Put more plainly we learn best when we're having fun.
Tue-Thu | 9 am-3 pm
By appointment (email firstname.lastname@example.org)
Closed weekends and holidays
About Parkside Galleries
We are educationally-driven with thematically-focused, interdisciplinary exhibitions. Although we do not have the staff to actively review all exhibition submissions, we invite artists to introduce themselves by sending an email with a link to a website address. We are always on the lookout for new and interesting work, especially if it intersects with our educational mission.
