Job Duties: The Budget and Policy Analyst reports to the campus Budget Officer and has primary responsibility for submitting the institution's annual budget to UW-System.Responsibilities include assisting the Budget Officer to track, monitor and report on changes and adjustments to the budget throughout the year. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Required abilities include knowledge of budget and finance systems in non-profit and government settings; knowledge and skill in effective use of business application programs, budget preparation applications, and People Soft or equivalent financial MIS accounting systems; accuracy; organization; skill in effective communications; ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities under competing deadlines; develop modify, analyze, and monitor budget data; think analytically; solve problems independently; strong attention to detail; professionalism and confidentiality; proficiency in software applications including Microsoft Office; knowledge of UW travel procedures; accounting principles; cash management; ability to learn new technologies, systems and regulations for sound fiscal management.

Salary: Pay will be based on the rules that apply to compensation upon transfer, reinstatement or voluntary demotion transactions.Pay will not be less than the minimum of the 81-04 pay range, $17.243/hour.A six month permissive probation period may be required.
