Position Title: Information Technology Director II
Employment Type: Full Time
Reports To: Vice Chancellor
Full Time Pay Range: $85,000.00 - $92,000.00/year
The Director of Information Technology, provides leadership and guidance in critical areas of technology administration at the university, including budgeting, resource development and allocation, policy formation, technology evaluation, and service development, delivery, and deployment. The incumbent will assist in managing business operations to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and IT operational effectiveness. Provides leadership, direction, and support at the institution and/or state. Analyzes technology trends and advancement in areas of specialization and plans for the long-term direction of the IT organization.
Essential Job Functions
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic leadership and guidance at the executive level in critical areas of technology administration, having institution and/or state-wide
- Partners with the Project Management Office (PMO) to support governance, strategic planning, project and portfolio management, cross institutional initiatives, and executive level projects
- Fosters strategic partnerships in carrying out enterprise-wide computing services for the central IT organization
- Directs key services within the division with broad-reaching institutional impact
- Provides leadership for planning, developing, and implementing information technology initiatives
- Leads the development and implementation of best practices and standards in process, design, architecture, and operations of all aspects of service-oriented information technology delivery
- Serve as the primary point of contact and participant in the governance Universities of Wisconsin IT as a Service program to ensure UW-Parkside's needs are being represented and successfully met.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent academic
- Five to seven years related industry experience
- Supervisory experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will possess higher education experience, as well as experience in network management, information security administration, and systems administration.

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
