The University of Wisconsin Parkside currently has a Payroll and Benefit Specialist opening in the Department of Human Resources.

This is a classified, full-time, non-represented position. Job Announcement Code 14-04563

Job Duties:

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position requires the employee to perform highly complex payroll processing and benefits administration responsibilities within the Office of Human Resources. The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will be responsible for administration of fringe benefits, payroll and leave accounting, benefit orientations, and retirement activities. This position will also be responsible for system entry of benefit enrollments, changes, and termination of coverage.

This position will make independent and complex decisions concerning the interpretation and application of a wide variety of federal and state laws, personnel rules, regulations, procedures and policies.

Salary:

Schedule/Pay Range: 81-05 (minimum salary $13.695)

Internal (current) employees: pay will be based on the rules that apply to compensate upon transfer, voluntary demotion or reinstatement transactions.
