This position is ideal for a new graduate or current student affairs professional who is looking to enhance or grow their knowledge base in the area of student organizations and advising, event planning, and student supervision.
Position Title: Student Affairs Program Specialist (Campus Activities Specialist)
Employment Type: Full time, Academic Staff, Exempt
Reports To: The Campus Activities Specialist will report to Associate Director of First Year Initiatives and Campus Engagement.
Pay Range: $43,000-$47,500
Essential Job Functions
Key Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Associate Director of First Year Initiatives and Campus Engagement, the Campus Activities Specialist is the main point of contact for student organizations at UW-Parkside. They will provide leadership and support to student organizations and student leaders. They will coordinate special student events, student organization advising, publications, and student government to promote student learning and development and foster relationships across the institution and the community.
- Schedules logistics and secures resources for student programming and activities based on established unit initiatives
- Assists with the development, implementation, and mobilization of marketing campaigns based on established goals
- Assists with the design of students programs and recommends improvements to leadership for program enhancements
- Supports the coordination of new student programs for incoming students
- Assists with supervising and training student employees

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 1-3 years’ experience advising organizations and coordinating programs
