D2L Archive FAQ's
D2L has been archived dating back to the last two academic years. June 30 is the final day D2L will be accessible by the UW-System. If you need any content from the learning management system before it is officially retired, you must contact Innovations in Learning prior to the June 30 deadline. You can contact Innovations in Learning by emailing email@example.com.
What do I do if I need course content from D2L?
If you need content saved from D2L, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or fill out the D2L Access Request form before June 30th, 2020. The Innovations in Learning team has archived all D2L content from the Fall 2017 semester until Fall 2019 semester. This content can be accessed indefinitely, but any content from before the Fall 2017 semester will be lost as of June 30th, 2020.
When will D2L content be inaccessible?
D2L content will be officially inaccessible on June 30th, 2020. Faculty, staff, and students lost formal access to D2L on January 1st, 2020, but administrators have access until June 30th, 2020.
D2L content from the Fall 2017 to Fall 2019 semesters have been archived by the Innovations in Learning team and will be accessible indefinitely.

Can I save student data?
Yes, but depending on the data that needs to be saved, it will involve manually exporting student work. The student data you can save from D2L are grades and dropbox submissions. For more information, please email email@example.com.
