Assistant Professor of Political Science & Public Administration
Timothy Dale is an assistant professor of political science at the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. He teaches in the area of political philosophy, and his research interests include democratic theory, political messaging in popular culture, and the scholarship of teaching and learning. He is currently co-director of the UW-La Crosse First Year Seminar program, and brings to the Faculty Collaboratives project an interest in cultivating campus conversations about the purpose of a liberal education. He is coeditor of several books on popular culture and politics, including Jim Henson and Philosophy: Imagination and the Magic of Mayhem(2015), Homer Simpson Ponders Politics: Popular Culture as Political Theory (2013) and Homer Simpson Marches on Washington: Dissent in American Popular Culture (2010), and he is coauthor of Political Thinking, Political Theory, and Civil Society (2009).
