Biography
Saxophonist Eric Schoor performs and teaches extensively throughout the Midwest. He attended UW-Milwaukee where he graduated summa cum laude with two B.F.A.s in music: Jazz Studies and Multiple Woodwinds. He is currently teaches applied saxophone at UW-Parkside, and at the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music where he also teaches theory, improvisation classes, ensembles, and performs with the faculty jazz sextet 'We Six'. Eric can be heard regularly in Chicago and Milwaukee's jazz venues and at many of the Midwest’s music festivals. He has had the good fortune of performing and recording with nationally recognized artists such as Aretha Franklin, Frank Sinatra Jr., Phil Woods, Benny Golson, Carl Allen, The Temptations, Brian Lynch, Ellis Marsalis, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Four Tops, David Hazeltine, and Manty Ellis. He has performed on Michael Feldman's "Whaddya' Ya Know?" show on Wisconsin Public Radio, and is a member of the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra's Pops Ensemble. His debut CD, "Combinations-Live at the Jazz Estate", was released in 2013 on the Hollistic MusicWorks record label.
