Over the past three years, we have averaged 90 separate internships in health professional sites in SE Wisconsin, nationally, and internationally for our pre-health students. This also averages out to over 22,000 hours of hands-on health care experience per year over the last three years.
Selected Parkside students begin the two-year RUSCH program with an extensive research experience in the summer of the first year on the campus of UW-Madison after which they will gain significant health care experiences, mentoring, and instruction focusing on the great need to provide health care to under-served populations where healthcare access and/or equity is a concern.
There are a variety of career opportunities for students who study pre-health. Please note that most of these careers require advanced degrees in addition to the BS; others may require formal and specialized training outside the scope of an undergraduate academic degree program.
