A Letter to the Parents

Download an application and a health history form, return both forms to UW-Parkside with your payment. Please circle what level your child is in on the registration form.

All instructors are certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors. A certified lifeguard is on duty at all times during swim lessons. Our summer swim camp has 3-two week sessions. Each lesson is 50 minutes followed by 10 minutes of free time and you may enroll your child in more than one session.

Session 1: June 13-24
Session 2: June 27-July 8 (no class July 4)
Session 3: July 11-22

Class Periods
Period A: 8:30-9:30 AM, Levels 1 & 2
Period B: 9:40-10:40 AM, Level 2 & 3
Period C: 10:50-11:50 AM, Levels 4, 5 & 6

Pool Closure Policy
Refunds will be given for days missed and for in-climate weather cancellations call 595-2381. Classes will not be made up.

Locker Rooms
The lifeguard locker room is for families. All children 4 yrs. and older must use either the same gender locker room or the lifeguard locker room.

Fee Structure
Sessions 1, $100.00 per child
Session 2, $90.00 per child
Session 3, $100.00 per child

Payment Policy
Full payment included with your registration. We do take credit cards and you must come in to pay. There will be a 3% surcharge added to the cost. Confirmations will not be sent!

Enrollment Policy
Enrollment is on a first-come basis and limited to the first 30 students per period. The minimum age is 3½ yrs. and must be toilet trained and able to follow instruction.

Pool Use

All campers may use the pool during open swim until the end of their two week session. Siblings and friends can swim for $3 and parents are free.

American Red Cross Learn to Swim Level Description s:

Level I, Non-swimmers, very limited water experience. Unable to put their face in water.
Level II, Pass Level I, can put their face in the water, very comfortable in the water.
Level III, Pass Level II or swim on front and back for 15 feet.
Level IV, Pass Level III or swim the front crawl, elementary backstroke, backstroke and dolphin kick.
Level V, Pass Level IV or swim the 7 basic strokes. front crawl, backstroke, breaststroke, sidestroke, butterfly, elementary backstroke.
Level VI, Pass or test out of Level V.

Refund Policy-Injury/Illness
After the first day of class, no refunds will be issued unless your child misses 5 or more days. which point we will refund half of your payment but keep $25.00 (administrative fee). In place of a refund, you can apply your payment for a future class but it must be used within 6 months otherwise you will forfeit your payment. You will not get a refund if there is a price difference.
