It is important to get into a daily habit of monitoring your symptoms. Faculty, staff, and students who plan to be on campus, must check to COVID-19 symptoms prior to entering campus. Ask yourself the following questions:

  1. Do you have a fever (greater than 100.4), feel warm or have chills?
  2. Do you have any of the following symptoms?
  • Cough (persistent & productive)
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell
  • Other respiratory symptoms (sneezing, wheezing & congestion)
  • Gastrointestinal symptoms (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea)
  1. Have you, or someone in your household had close, unprotected contact (spent longer than 15 minutes within 6 feet) with a suspected or known COVID-19 patient or with someone who has been placed on home quarantine by the Department of Health?

If your answer is NO

to #1, #2, and #3, please exercise the following guidelines:

  • Wash your hands with soap and water or use alcohol sanitizer before starting work and frequently throughout the day,
  • Practice social distancing- sit and/or stand at least 6 feet from other people, do not shake hands or hug people, and do not share food or drinks,
  • Sanitize your work area frequently or at least daily,
  • Avoid touching your face,
  • If you start to feel feverish or have respiratory symptoms, take the appropriate actions to either leave work and contact your healthcare provider immediately,
