What is your current job?

I am currently the Credit Analyst of Business Lending partners, a division of Racine County Economic Development Corporation. We are located in the Gateway iMET Center in Sturtevant. Business Lending Partners provides financing assistance to local businesses and entrepreneurs with long term fixed rate, low interest loan programs. I am responsible for processing business loan applications including conducting credit analyses and making loan recommendations to the appropriate committees and community authorizations.

In what ways did UW-Parkside help prepare you for this job?

I graduated from Parkside with a degree in Business Management with a focus on Finance. The finance courses that Parkside offered me gave me the necessary foundation to not only do my job, but also to excel in it. The various on and off campus activities that Parkside offered also aided my personal and professional growth. I got to meet and connect with students and instructors who inspired me greatly to work towards becoming who I am today.

What would be your advice to students at UW-Parkside currently pursuing a CBEC degree?

Take advantage of your time in college. This is where you develop your skills and character to become your most amazing selves. It is also where you can build those lifetime relationships so invest time in making connections with others. In addition, take advantage of the resources that are available at CBEC and stay involved.
