What is your current job? Marketing Coordinator, NMMA
How did UW-Parkside help prepare you for this job?
UW-Parkside provided me with the necessary skills to succeed in the workplace through educational opportunities such as internships, work experience through the Small Business Development Center, and with small classroom settings, I was able to gain valuable mentors who realized my strengths and weaknesses. Knowing I had valuable experience under my belt, helped me stay competitive in the market. I walked into interviews confident in my abilities and ready to take on tasks.
What would be your advice to students at UW-Parkside currently pursuing a CBEC degree?
My advice to current CBEC students would be to stay focused and remember that your class projects are a great way to verify your strengths when it comes to interviewing. Prospective companies want to know you can do everything you say you can and providing them with successful projects you worked hard on, is a great way to prove your talents.
