What is your current job or what did you pursue after obtaining your bachelors?

Currently I am an MBA Student at UW-Whitewater, however, I  have accepted a position at Alliant Energy as a Project Manager starting in May.

How did UW-Parkside help prepare you for job/graduate school?

UW- Parkside provided me with endless networking and internship opportunities that allowed me to improve my communication skills. Being able to participate in two national sales competitions and working as a CBEC intern allowed me to formally apply my course work to the real world. Overall outside of my formal learning, the relationships I developed professionally during my time at UW-Parkside were what helped me prepare the most for life after UW-Parkside.

What would be your advice to students at UW-Parkside currently pursuing a CBEC degree?

I would recommend that you develop close relationships with faculty members and take advantage of the unique opportunities that UW-Parkside offers students. From student organizations to conference to sales competitions to leadership retreats, the opportunities are endless. Also, I would plan your degree requirements out strategically and find ways to gain additional minors or certificates within your degree program. I was able to receive two degrees and two minors at UWP in three years and 126 credits and you can too!
