What is your current job?

I am a Loan Specialist at the Racine County Economic Development Corporation.

How did UW-Parkside help prepare you for this job?

UW-Parkside allowed me to explore and discover different career paths that ultimately led me to the position I am at today. At UW-Parkside I was given the opportunity to take a variety of different classes and collaborate closely with other colleagues and faculty members. The intimate setting allowed me to develop the skills required in my current job.

What would be your advice to students at UW-Parkside currently pursuing a CBEC degree?

I would recommend students try and seek an internship as soon as possible. As cliche as that sounds, there is a good reason for it! Internships provide a lot of value for your own professional development as well as future employers.
