Best thing about being a student at UW-Parkside:
It is so easy to find opportunities for internships and jobs through the help of advisors. In addition, the advisors and department chairs love getting to know students and will help you find your was as you begin to transition into the "real world."
Why did you pick UW-Parkside?
I was recruited for cross country. I loved the location, right on Lake Michigan and smack dab in between Milwaukee and Chicago.
Best advice for getting the most out of college:
Go to class and utilize available resources like office hours, the tutoring center, and study groups. Sometimes you have to go outside your comfort zone, especially when meeting new people. Always try talking to people around you in your classes. You never know when you'll need notes or a study buddy.
