My Parkside Story: I became a Ranger on September 18th, 2015 so my journey here has just begun. It all started when a friend of mine reached out to me to let me know the position that was open. The job I held prior to UW-Parkside had started to become a burden and was not fulfilling. I was ready to begin a career in which I could impact people's lives. I've always had an interest in higher education and therefore was excited to become an Admissions Counselor. I am part of an organization whose goal is to promote higher education to under-represented populations and I am extremely passionate about this organization, and my position allows me intentionally recruit students and support from under-represented populations. Although it is my job to help students in those circumstances I make it a personal goal to ensure that I help ANY student in need, and that is so rewarding! I am able to live out my passions and interests by being an Admissions Counselor at Parkside and so far this is one of the best experiences I've had in my professional career.
