Education: BS, Human Services, and Leadership - University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh

Colleges/programs I support: I currently work with traditional, non-traditional, and veteran students I act as a liaison to the College of Arts and Humanities, College of Natural and Health Sciences, and the College of Social Sciences and Professional Studies.

Favorite hobbies/films/books:
Hobbies: I love landscaping, gardening, hiking and doing home projects.  I have a yellow lab mix; Izzy that I rescued from the Humane Society and believe in their mission.  I enjoy trying new coffees and spending time at the Milwaukee Art Museum and walking in nature. I love to travel and my favorite two locations are the beach and the Rocky Mountains.
Films: While I'm not much of a moviegoer I love documentaries. One of my favorites is "Alone in the Wilderness" the life story of Richard Proenneke and his adventurous life in Alaska. Another of my favorite movies would be "Sister Act" with Whoopi Goldberg ~ she makes me laugh.
Books: I enjoy anything by Eleanor Roosevelt but my favorite is "Leadership the Eleanor Roosevelt Way". I am inspired by her intelligence, courage and strength. I also loved Jane Austen and the many titles by Patricia Cornwell.

Quotes that describe your advising philosophy: Courage allows the successful woman to fail- and learn powerful lessons- from the failure- so that in the end, she didn't fail at all ~ Maya Angelou "Believe in yourself and all that you are.  Know that there is something inside you greater than any obstacle" ~ Christian D. Larson I believe it is a privilege to make a difference in my student's lives; to be a supportive and encouraging influence so they have the confidence to pursue dreams they haven't yet realized.
