TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Delivery and Return of Accepted Work | Artists are responsible for covering shipping costs to and from the Gallery. Artist must supply return shipping label from UPS or FedEx with submitted work. Works must be shipped in reusable containers that will be used for returning artworks. Prints must arrive either framed or otherwise ready to display. Framed works must be framed in Plexiglas (not glass) if shipped. Work also may be hand-delivered and picked-up on dates specified by Gallery at time of acceptance.

Insurance | Accepted work will be insured while on exhibit, but the University will not be liable for damage or loss in transit. Artists must fill out and return an insurance form for works to be covered under the University’s insurance.

Sales | Works may be listed as either for sale or not for sale. There will be no sales through UWP, but you will be put in contact with those interested.

Conditions | Works cannot be removed from exhibition prior to exhibition closing date. Any work requiring an intricate and unusual installation will require the artist to be present to install the work him/herself. The UW-Parkside Gallery reserves the right to refuse any works for misrepresentation or improper packaging. Accepted work must be received by Gallery by specified deadline to ensure inclusion in exhibition. By entering the exhibition, artist grants consent for the use of submitted images to be reproduced for publicity and educational purposes, including reproduction in the exhibition catalogue.

Juror Bio

Nathaniel Russell, Internationally Exhibited Printmaker and Artist

Nathaniel Russell is an interdisciplinary artist and musician: prints, music, drawings, paintings, murals, sculpture, posters, books and illustrations. Born and raised in Indiana, he spent several years in the San Francisco Bay Area after college. Returned to his hometown of Indianapolis, he spends his time creating drawings, prints, sculptures and music. Russell’s work is regularly exhibited around the world in both traditional galleries and informal spaces. Russell’s art is both direct and subtle, working with language and graphic elements to create memorable images and stories that can be humorous or deeply sad. Russell is also involved in numerous collaborations and projects including murals, printmaking workshops and music performances.
