To apply for undergraduate admission, follow the instructions below:
STEP 1: The UW System application

STEP 2: Fees
International admission to Parkside requires an International Student Processing fee of $100 payable by credit card. This fee can be paid using this link: https://commerce.cashnet.com/UWP_ISS
STEP 3: Academic Records
At the time of application, undergraduate students must have completed or be close to completing secondary school (high school). Official, certified, or attested transcripts from all secondary institutions attended must be submitted. Documents issued in a language other than English must be accompanied by a certified English translation.

STEP 4: English Language Proficiency
Non-native English speakers whose prior education was not conducted in English are required to submit proof of English proficiency. English proficiency may be demonstrated in the following ways:
- Minimum TOEFL score of 71 (Internet-based). Our Institution Code is 1860
- Minimum IELTS score of 6.0
- An ACT English subscore of 23 or higher
- Duolingo English Test (DET) score of 100 or higher
- PTE Pearson score of 50

STEP 5: Proof of Funding (if you require a student visa)
International students requiring student visas must certify that they have enough financial support for the first full year of their education. The University Financial Sponsorship Form for International Students shows estimates of one year of expenses including fees billed by the University as well as estimates of personal expenses. The following information should be uploaded to: International Student Financial Documents
- Financial Sponsorship Form for International Students
- Bank statements clearly showing financial resources in US dollars.
- Color copy of passport.

If you have enrolled in any university-level courses or completed any undergraduate studies outside of the US, official college/university transcripts must be submitted to UW-Parkside. Transcripts from all non-US based programs must be submitted to and evaluated by a professional evaluation service that is recognized through NACES (naces.org). A course-by-course evaluation is required. We recommend the following evaluation services:
The evaluation typically takes 3-4 weeks. The service provider will send the completed evaluation to UW-Parkside. Please request your college transcript be attached to the evaluation report.

Follow the following steps to apply for admission to a Parkside graduate program. Please note that student visas cannot be issued for 100% online programs.

Fees are payable with a credit card at the same time you submit your online application. (Application cannot be processed until this fee is received.)

Students currently enrolled in universities that have an active Exchange Partnership with Parkside, are eligible to enroll for one or two semesters as non-degree seeking special students. Once academically accepted, you can proceed with obtaining a student visa, arranging housing and food plans and registering for classes.
To identify courses being offered for the academic term, consult the University course schedule. Course listings indicate prerequisites, teaching format, credits and any additional fees relating to the course. Undergraduates should register for a minimum of 12 credits.

Please note that although exchange students are not required to pay UW-Parkside tuition fees, they are other expenses that you must plan for while studying in the USA. These include the Parkside International Student fee ($100 per semester) the Parkside Segregated fee (approximately $550 per semester) and the International Insurance fee (approximately $700 per semester.) - Bank statements clearly showing financial resources in US dollars.

Costs
Annual cost estimations for undergraduate students, graduate students and 12-month graduate partnership programs for the current Academic Year can be found on the first page of the Financial Sponsorship Form. More detailed information can be found here: Projected Tuition & Fees
Student bills are charged each semester once course registration is complete. International students are not required to pay until the 10th day of the semester. Charges appear on the student’s Solar account including separate charges for tuition, housing, food plans, international student health insurance, and fees. Fees include:
- New Student fees (first semester only)
- Segregated fees (each semester)
- International fees (each semester)
Payment plans are available.
The Parkside International Student Services/Study Abroad Office recommends that international students pay by logging into their student SOLAR account (Transact function). Alternatively, the bank on the Parkside campus “Educators Credit Union” allows new students to register for an immediate account upon arrival. Funds can then be electronically wired to their account.
Scholarships
UW Parkside does not award full scholarships to international students.
There are a limited number of annual scholarship awards for full time, degree-seeking international students. These awards total $3,000, $4,000, or $5,000 per year and are determined by prior academic performance.
Once awarded, these scholarships will be issued each semester as long as students remain eligible. Scholarships cannot be increased. Detailed information can be found here: International Student Scholarships
