Nominate an alum

Know a UW-Parkside graduate whose achievements, leadership, or service deserve recognition? Submit a nomination to help celebrate alumni who are making a meaningful impact in their professions, communities, and beyond. Complete the nomination form and upload all required materials to be considered.


AWARDS TIMELINE
Nominations for awards each year will open in January and close in June. The Distinguished Alumni Awards committee meets in July to review nominations and make selections. Awardees are notified in August and are recognized in a private Distinguished Alumni Award Ceremony in October.

Award Categories

Recognizes a UW-Parkside graduate from the past 10 years (Class of 2016 or later) who is making a significant impact in their profession, industry, or community through leadership, innovation, service, or achievement.

Honors a UW-Parkside alumnus who has demonstrated professional excellence, outstanding leadership, and a commitment to lifelong learning, growth, and personal development throughout their career.

Recognizes a UW-Parkside alumnus who has demonstrated exceptional leadership and has made significant contributions to their community, profession, and/or the University of Wisconsin-Parkside through volunteerism, advocacy, mentorship, or service.

The university’s highest alumni honor, recognizing an alumnus whose exceptional professional achievements, leadership, and contributions to society bring distinction to themselves, their profession, and UW-Parkside.

Nomination Requirements

To be considered, all nomination materials must be submitted in full. Incomplete nominations will not be reviewed.
A complete nomination packet includes:

Nomination Form

Complete all required fields, including nominee and nominator contact information.

Statement of Nomination

A brief narrative explaining why the nominee deserves the award. Include specific examples of professional achievement, leadership, service, innovation, or community impact.

Cover Letter

A letter outlining why the nominee deserves recognition for the selected award category. The cover letter should highlight the nominee’s accomplishments, leadership, impact, and connection to UW-Parkside.

Resume

A current resume detailing the nominee’s educational background, professional experience, honors, achievements, leadership positions, service activities, and community involvement.

Letter of Recommendation

At least one letter outlining the nominee’s qualifications for the selected award category and highlighting their accomplishments, leadership, impact, and connection to UW-Parkside.

Future Consideration

If you don’t receive the award, please let us know if you would like the material submitted to be considered for the following year.
