UW-Parkside Recognizes Educational Opportunity During National TRIO Day

Published: February 19, 2025

TRIOKenosha, WI – The University of Wisconsin-Parkside, led by The Educational Opportunity Center, Student Support Services, and the Jockey Career Closet, is offering an opportunity to give back to the community in honor of National TRIO Day taking place on Feb. 24 and 28. This event aims to recognize TRIO’s impact on our campus community.

Visit the UW-Parkside Student Center Bridge on Feb. 24 and 28 between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

During these days, UW-Parkside will set up dedicated tables on the Student Center Bridge where students and staff can stop by and donate professional clothing, which will go to the Jockey Career Closet. This initiative encourages students and staff to give back to our campus community.

Since its establishment in 1986, National TRIO Day has become a tradition to raise awareness about the importance of educational opportunity for low-income, first-generation students and a chance to give back to the community.
