Mathematics Minor

Mathematics is of central importance in the sciences. In fact, mathematics has been called the language of science. This applies not only to the physical and biological sciences but increasingly to the social, managerial, and behavioral sciences as well.

Small class sizes at all levels of instruction coupled with an outstanding faculty, some of whom have won the school-wide awards in teaching or research, makes Parkside an ideal university to study mathematics at the undergraduate level.

Mathematic skills are relevant in a wide variety of fields and sciences. If you want to fine tune your math skills and obtain the fundamentals and principles of modern math that will complement a variety of disciplines, the mathematics minor is designed for you.

All calculus level courses and above are taught by full-time faculty members with Ph.D. degrees and have small class sizes at all levels of instruction.
