Sociology Minor
Explore. See. Understand.
Sociology is the scientific study of social life, social change, and the social causes and consequences of human behavior. It analyzes and explains human interaction in our personal lives, in our communities, and in the world. Sociology helps us look beyond the surface, look at issues from multiple perspectives, it helps us look through the sociological lens. Sociology will help you connect your individual experiences to societal factors.
The sociology minor offers you the opportunity to expand your horizon while complementing your major field of study. Take courses in criminology and deviance, family and human services, race and ethnic relations, urban institutions and the occupational world, and in program evaluation.
Speak with a sociology professor to find out how you can incorporate a sociology minor in your academic plan.
