Teaching Awards

(2015) Assessment Award, Business Management Major — UW-Parkside
Award received from UW-Parkside at the Assessment Showcase and Poster Session for the excellent depiction of assurance and learning in courses taught in the Business Management Major. The development of this award-winning assessment poster was based on contributing, coordinating, and analyzing input received from several business faculty in courses taught, including my capstone course. I developed the assurance of learning/assessment sections of the required AACSB accreditation report. The analytical business assessment results highlighted in the AACSB report were exhibited in the UW-Parkside assessment showcase and poster session.
(2012) Internationalizing the Campus Curriculum Distinction — UW-Parkside/Center for International Studies (CIS)
Top Honor "Internationalizing the Campus Curriculum:" My MGT 446 evaluated to be the most international course based on specially funded CIS study evaluating syllabi from across the campus.
(2005) In Her Footsteps Mentoring & Advising Award
Received "In Her Footsteps Award" from the Women's Center and the Dean of Students for advising and mentoring students on campus.
(2003) Outstanding Advisor of the Year Award — UW-Parkside/Parkside International Club
Award presented in recognition of the outstanding advising for the Parkside International Club, a student organization.

Racine, Wisconsin Mayor John Dickert’s remarks and the card presented along with the award included the statements: “Dr. Gee has a proven record of training the next generation of highly successful business professionals and entrepreneurs by supplying students with a combination of community and business skill sets. She gets students engaged by giving them experiential learning and having them apply theories with hands-on experience, a hallmark of…education that Dr. Gee fully advocates.”

(2007) Selected and served as an American Council on Education Fellow for 2006 through 2007
Served as an American Council on Education Fellow for 2006 through 2007. ACE annually selects a small group of high achieving scholars for advanced leadership development in the administration of American colleges and universities. ACE Fellows are first nominated by the President or Chancellor of their home institutions. Many university presidents, provosts, and other academic officers are former ACE Fellows. As an ACE Fellow, I shadowed the President and Provost at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois and was a member of the President's Cabinet in 2006 and 2007. DePaul is the sixth largest private university in the United States, and is the largest Catholic university. I was involved in fiscal policy and budgeting; large-scale real estate development; strategic plan implementation; and administrative issues in DePaul's nine colleges and schools. I was also involved in capital campaign planning, and enrollment management and growth. Working with the President, I became familiar with NCAA Division I, Big East operations; institutional re-accreditation; and Board of Trustees decision-making. (2006-07).
