Intern Housing
Housing and Residence Life partners with local companies to provide housing for their college interns. Interns must be an degree seeking student currently enrolled at a college or university during their stay in Intern Housing. With easy access to both Kenosha and Racine, even Milwaukee and Chicago, our University Apartments are an affordable and convenient option for those seeking housing accommodations while completing an internship or cooperative experience in the area.
HOUSING AVAILABILITY
Intern Housing is located in our UW-Parkside student housing. The availability of spaces for intern housing is based on the overall occupancy of our UW-Parkside student population. We are able to accommodate intern requests as space allows.
HOUSING DATES
UW-Parkside Intern Housing is available during the below dates. This schedule coordinates with our Student Housing timeline to ensure we can transition spaces between occupants in a timely manner.

Spring 27 | January 5 to May 15

ACCOMMODATIONS
Intern Housing is in our on University Apartments. Each apartment has two bathrooms, four bedrooms and up to six residents. Rooms have twin xl beds, dressers, closets, desk and chairs. The shared living space has a full refrigerator, stove, and living room furniture.
AMENITIES
Within the University Apartments community, residents have access to a laundry room with vending area and fitness equipment. A community space with a television and a microwave is available for residents. Outside, the University Apartments community has a backetball court, green space for recreation, and several entrances to hiking trails in our neighboring park. Residents can take a short walk to the Student Center where they can find an outdoor patio and basketball court, campus dining options, bookstore, Educators Credit Union, and an ATM. Parking is adjacent to University Housing.
INTERN HOUSING RATES*
Housing
Our cost is $119 a week for a double occupancy room or a small private room, and $175 per week for a large private room (if available). Rates are weekly and include all utilities.
Parking
Parking passes can be purchased by interns from University Police in Tallent Hall upon arrival to campus. The passes available are for an academic year (Fall through Summer) for $245 or for summer only for $85 dollars.
Payment
Companies who choose to pay for their interns’ housing may do so via a group contract. Individual interns will receive a monthly invoice emailed to them and can make the payment online via credit card.

REGISTRATION REQUEST
Submitting requests for spaces should be done at least 1 week prior to desired occupancy to allow for preparation of arrival. To request housing complete the Intern Housing Request Form. A confirmation email will be received once complete. Staff will reach out in a few business days with information on availability during the requested time.
