Roby Rajan is a Professor of Quantitative Methods in the Department of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. He has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, India, an M.A. in Economics from Virginia Tech, and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech. He has research interests spanning multiple disciplines and has published in a wide variety of journals including Operations Research; The International Economic Review; The Cato Journal; Empirical Economics; Alternatives; Emergences; Rethinking Marxism; Futures; Third World Resurgence; Humanscape; The International Journal of Knowledge, Culture, and Change Management; Leadership and Organizational Management Journal; Ethics and Critical Thinking Journal; and Knowledge Management: An International Journal. He has also contributed chapters to a number of edited volumes and is co-editor (with Vinay Lal) of India and the Unthinkable (Oxford University Press, 2016). His latest paper “Disaster Management, Sustainability, and Globalization: An Integrative Planetary Approach” was published in June 2021 in The International Journal of Interdisciplinary Global Studies.
