UW-Parkside offers a Midwest tuition rate for our neighbors in the surrounding Midwest states which includes Illinois!

What does this mean? Well, it’s like unlocking a treasure chest of educational opportunities and affordability for students in Illinois. Students from these states pay a reduced tuition rate, making higher education more accessible and affordable.

TUITION RATES

The Midwest Tuition Rate is approximately 50% less than the non-resident rate.

QUESTIONS

Is there a limit to the number of students eligible for the Midwest Tuition Rate?
There is no limit. All students from the ten neighboring Midwest states enrolled in traditional face-to-face undergraduate and graduate programs are eligible for this tuition rate. Students in programs or courses with special tuition rates do not qualify.

Is there a GPA or ACT score cut-off?
No.

Major: Nursing

Boukary Mbengue is from Moline, Illinois, and is currently a Nursing major at UW-Parkside. From the beginning of his time at Parkside, he has been on the Nursing track. He was inspired by his mother, who is a nurse, to enter this field. In the future, he wants to be a Nurse Practitioner.

Boukary has this to say about the Nursing Major,

“I would describe nursing as a major that teaches you life skills to be a great individual. This major shows you how to treat people with the best care possible. It is wonderfully taught and will help carve you into a great nurse many people will respect and aspire to be.”

The nursing program at Parkside collaborates with the UW-Milwaukee School of Nursing to offer students the highest quality nursing program possible to our students.
