CTS TECH BAR
Campus Technology Services (CTS) is excited to announce the Tech Bar. The Tech Bar offers convenient, walk-up*, technology services – located on the main campus concourse, just across from the library, in Wyllie L101.
Services
Include, but are not limited to:
- Technology experts to answer questions and troubleshoot issues with computers, tablets and smartphones.
- Assistance with account lockouts
- Assistance with password resets
- Wi-Fi connection assistance
- Software install assistance (Office 365, SPSS, VDI)
- Equipment checkout
- Pick up/drop off equipment
- Laptops, hotspots, headsets, webcams, video cameras, adapters, etc.

UW-Parkside is proud to offer free access to its extensive wireless network to all students. All you need is a valid UW-Parkside Net-ID and a wireless enabled device. Wireless network access is available in many of the buildings, as well as outdoor areas. This wireless connectivity enables flexibility for accessing the Internet and other Online applications.
Accessing the UW-Parkside Wi-Fi network can be a simple process. UW-Parkside offers six service options for connecting to wireless on campus:
- eduroam [Preferred method to connect to UWP wireless network]
Secure worldwide federated network access to local wireless service
at participating eduroam institutions
- UWP Guest
Secure high speed wireless Web access for sponsored visitors and guests
- ResNet
Secure wireless in the Residence Halls
- VPN access for Faculty and staff

With online web and video conferencing, students, faculty and staff can host meetings and collaborate with others anywhere in the world. The university offers Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Microsoft Teams
With video, chat, team collaboration, file sharing and VoIP features, Microsoft Teams is the recommended web conferencing service for conducting university business.
Zoom
With Zoom, faculty can create a virtual classroom, office, or meeting space in order to communicate with users on campus or anywhere in the world.
UW-Parkside students and employees can take advantage of great savings by using their university discount with vendors.
