Ranger Welcome

A one day required orientation program for all new freshman. It is held prior to start of fall classes and is packed with fun and interesting activities that help prepare you to be a RANGER!

 

Tuesday, September 6th

8:00 AM
Check-In (Student Center)
Please make sure to dress comfortably, wear your Ranger gear and bring your Ranger
Card!

PLAYFAIR
PLAYFAIR is totally unlike anything else you have ever experienced. It's entertainment! It's fun! It's the perfect way to make new campus friendships! And PLAYFAIR is more than just an entertainment event – it is a team-building experience that has a long-lasting effect on the members of your campus community.

Participate in this Ranger Tradition with your 600 new classmates!

Academic Success & Your First Year
This fun, interactive session will provide you must-know information about
communicating with your professors, academic policies and other tips for making sure
you are academically successful!

Chancellor's Picnic & Ranger Rally
Hosted by Dr. Debbie Ford, Chancellor at UWP, you will enjoy a great FREE lunch
while meeting more classmates AND getting fired up with that Ranger pride!

Theatre of Empowerment
Developed and performed by students for students, the Theatre of Empowerment
explores a variety of social issues, challenges and opportunities! Come prepared to
be entertained while also learning more about yourself and UWP.

3:45 PM
Campus Business
(buy books, eat dinner, find your classes)

7:00 PM
Residence Hall Floor Meetings
This meeting is mandatory for all students living in the Residence Halls.

9:00 PM
Free Movie: Captain America - Civil War (Student Center Cinema)
What more could you want? Free movie! Free popcorn! Free swag! Come
dressed as your favorite Marvel character!
