Traditions of Excellence Distinguished Alumni Awards

The UW-Parkside Distinguished Alumni Awards celebrate and honor the rich legacy of learning and accomplishments by those graduates who have excelled in their chosen field or performed exemplary service to our community.

Each year the awards program recognizes alumni from each of the university's four colleges in the categories of achievement and service.

Congratulations 2019 Distinguished Alumni Honorees

Seven UW-Parkside alumni were honored at the annual Traditions of Excellence Distinguished Alumni Awards event on May 17, 2019. This year's distinguished alumni class are some of the many doctors, educators, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and community advocates who represent the power of a UW-Parkside education.

The 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award recipients demonstrate the university’s impact on the region, as approximately 70 percent of UW-Parkside alumni continue to work and reside in southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois following graduation. Conversely, award recipients also evidence the nationally-recognized accomplishments of UW-Parkside alumni.

Honorees are selected by committees of UW-Parkside faculty, staff, alumni, and advisory board members who read through recommendations submitted through the year-round nomination process.

Each honoree makes a meaningful difference in the lives of others through their success in career, community, and civic life. We are deeply honored they are willing to serve as role models to this and future generations of UW-Parkside students.
