The University of Wisconsin–Parkside is proud to announce the 2026 recipients of the Distinguished Alumni Awards. The UW–Parkside Distinguished Alumni Awards celebrate and honor the rich legacy of learning and accomplishments by those graduates who have excelled in their chosen field or performed exemplary service to our community.
The 2026 Distinguished Alumni Awards features a recipient from five different categories, including the Recent Alumni Award, Alumni Achievement Award, Alumni Service Award, Outstanding Alumni Award, and the Honorary Alumni Award.
Recent Alumni Award: Anh Hang ’14 ’17
The Recent Alumni Award is given to an alum who has graduated within the past 10 years and has made a significant impact in their chosen field and community.
Anh Hang ’14 ‘17 is the recipient of the UW–Parkside Recent Alumni Award, recognized for her outstanding professional achievement, dedication to mentorship, and commitment to service. A two-time UW–Parkside graduate, Anh earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees and launched a career dedicated to developing financial professionals and expanding financial literacy. As a Regional Vice President with Primerica Financial Services, she and her husband mentor more than 50 financial professionals across 12 states while helping thousands of families work toward financial security.
Anh remains deeply connected to UW–Parkside as an Adjunct Professor, guest speaker, sales competition judge, and mentor. Through teaching, community outreach, and professional development, she is passionate about empowering future generations to build confidence, create opportunities, and make meaningful contributions to society.
Alumni Achievement Award: Kyle P. Corrigan, M.S., CIFI ’08
The Alumni Achievement Award is given to a graduate who excels in their profession in areas of leadership, commitment to excellence, and lifelong learning, and has continued to grow in their profession.
Kyle P. Corrigan, M.S., CIFI ’08 is the recipient of the 2026 Alumni Achievement Award. He is the founder and Chief Investigator of Bright Line Investigations LLC where he leads investigations involving criminal defense, civil litigation, insurance fraud, surveillance, witness and evidence development, public records, digital evidence, and intelligence gathering throughout the Midwest.
Kyle graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Parkside in 2008 with a double major in Criminal Justice and Psychology. He later earned a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville in 2022.
The name Bright Line Investigations traces directly back to Kyle’s time at UW–Parkside. While sitting in a Molinaro lecture hall during a criminal procedure class, the discussion turned to the legal concept of the bright-line rule—a clearly defined legal standard that provides objective criteria for decision-making, reduces ambiguity, and promotes predictable outcomes. The concept stayed with him and eventually inspired both the company’s name and its guiding philosophy: bringing clarity to uncertainty, separating fact from assumption, and helping clients understand what the evidence can actually establish.
Kyle is also deeply committed to developing the next generation of investigative professionals. Through Bright Line Investigations, he has created internship, mentorship, and practical training opportunities for students seeking careers in investigations, public service, and law enforcement. Recent interns trained under his leadership have advanced into positions with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security | Homeland Security Investigations, and the Wisconsin Department of Justice | Division of Criminal Investigation.
Receiving the 2026 University of Wisconsin–Parkside Alumni Achievement Award is especially meaningful because it represents recognition from the university where his professional foundation was built and where the idea behind Bright Line first began.
Alumni Service Award: Anthony Dodd Sr. ‘13
The Alumni Service Award is presented to an individual who demonstrates outstanding and significant contributions to the community or UW–Parkside.
Anthony Dodd Sr. ‘13 is the recipient of the 2026 Alumni Service Award. Dodd is the Superintendent of Marshall Sherrer Correctional Center for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, where he leads with a vision centered on safety, accountability, rehabilitation, and successful reentry. A proud graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Parkside with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, the University of Wisconsin–Parkside Alumni Service Award recognizes his lifelong commitment to servant leadership and his enduring impact on the lives of individuals, families, and communities throughout Wisconsin.
Throughout his career, he has challenged traditional approaches to corrections by creating opportunities that prepare incarcerated individuals for successful reintegration into society. While serving as Assistant Superintendent at the CRC, Anthony led several ground-breaking
initiatives that gained national recognition. He helped secure housing vouchers for eligible residents returning to the community, providing a critical foundation for successful reentry and reducing barriers to stable housing. Through a first-of-its-kind partnership with Bank On Greater Milwaukee, he helped make the CRC the first correctional facility in the nation to assist residents in opening personal bank accounts while still incarcerated, improving financial inclusion and preparing individuals for employment and independence upon release.
Anthony remains dedicated to mentoring future leaders, building meaningful partnerships, and redefining the role of corrections through rehabilitation, accountability, and hope.
Outstanding Alumni Award: Dr. J. Nicole Simpson ‘05
The Outstanding Alumni Award is given to an individual who demonstrates exceptional professional achievement and whose contributions have had a positive impact on society.
Dr. J. Nicole Simpson ’05 is the recipient of the 2026 Outstanding Alumni Award. As a licensed clinical social worker, therapist, consultant, entrepreneur, educator, author, speaker and podcast host, her career sits at the intersection of clinical excellence, community impact, and faith-integrated healing.
A first-generation college graduate from Racine, Wisconsin, Dr. Simpson earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and a Certificate in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from the University of Wisconsin–Parkside in 2005. She went on to complete a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from the University of Arkansas, a Master of Social Work from Howard University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Social Work, also from Howard University, in December 2023. While completing her graduate studies, she was selected as a White House intern in the Office of Presidential Correspondence under President Barack Obama’s Administration.
Dr. Simpson is the founder and Clinical Director of Evolve Therapy and Wellness LLC, a telehealth mental health practice providing trauma-informed, holistic care serving clients in Maryland, Virginia, and Wisconsin. She serves as a Behavioral Health Consultant for the Opioid Response Network, a SAMHSA-funded federal initiative, covering HHS Region 3 across six states and the District of Columbia. She is an Adjunct Lecturer at Howard University School of Social Work, Lead Consultant for the Peer Case Management Institute, and the Creator, Host, and Executive Producer of the Rise and Thrive with Dr. J. Nicole podcast. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.
Grounded in her faith and a deep belief in the resilience of the human spirit, Dr. Simpson approaches every aspect of her work with compassion, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to helping people heal and thrive. She is deeply honored to receive the 2026 Outstanding Alumni Award and to return home to the campus that helped shape who she is and who she was always becoming.
Honorary Alumni Award: Dr. Gino M. Salituro
Dr. Gino M. Salituro is the recipient of the 2026 University of Wisconsin–Parkside Honorary Alumni Award. He remains committed to fostering innovation, supporting future generations, and giving back to the communities that helped shape his journey.
Dr. Salituro is a scientific leader, consultant, and innovator with four decades of experience spanning drug discovery, biotechnology, pharmaceutical development, and vaccine research. He currently serves as a Senior Scientific and Business Advisor with Accenture’s Luminary Program, advising on state-of-the-art laboratory modernization and scientific strategy. Prior to Accenture, he spent 38 years at Merck & Co., where he held numerous leadership roles, culminating as Senior Principal Scientist and strategic advisor supporting global bioanalytical and vaccine development programs.
Dr. Salituro has contributed to the discovery and development of multiple therapeutics and vaccines across a wide range of diseases, most notably antidiabetic and cardiovascular medicines and vaccines for human papilloma virus and pneumococcal pneumonia. He has authored approximately one hundred scientific publications and patents. Gino is recognized for his expertise in bioanalytical science, drug metabolism, and his leadership in advancing innovative technologies to accelerate the delivery of life-changing medicines to patients.
A former undergraduate researcher at the University of Wisconsin–Parkside, Dr. Salituro was accepted into graduate school after his sophomore year and went on to earn both a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The Johns Hopkins University. Throughout his career, he has remained passionate about STEM education and mentoring, particularly for underserved populations, embodying the spirit of service, innovation, and lifelong learning that defines UW–Parkside.
