Kavita Chavali

Dr. Kavita Chavali is an Associate Professor of Finance in the Department of Business at the University of Wisconsin–Parkside, bringing over two decades of international teaching and research experience across the U.S., Oman, India, and the Caribbean. Dr Chavali taught a wide range of courses—from Corporate Finance and Financial Management to Behavioral Finance and Personal Financial Planning. She is passionate about helping students and is known for making finance practical and engaging for diverse learners. Over the years, she also led major academic initiatives, developed new programs (including a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Technology), and served in key leadership roles including AACSB accreditation and curriculum development. Her research spans fintech, financial markets, sustainability, and investor behavior, with numerous publications in Scopus- and SSCI‑indexed journals
Beyond the classroom, Dr Chavali enjoys conducting financial literacy workshops, mentoring students, and supporting learning through practical, hands‑on approaches. Dr. Chavali is also a SEBI‑certified financial education trainer, Fellow FHEA UK Professional Standards Framework for Teaching and Learning support in Higher Education, and an active contributor to community and professional development initiatives.
