Dr. Lyons earned his Ph.D. at The University of Mississippi in exercise science. He holds and has held various certifications including Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Certified Personal Trainer from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He has extensive teaching experience at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He has published research in state, national, and international journals, and he has conducted myriad professional presentations throughout the country.

Teaching Interests
Dr. Lyons teaches kinesiology courses. Specifically, he teaches Sport & Exercise Physiology, Sport and Fitness Nutrition, and courses involving Strength and Conditioning.
Research Interests
My research interests revolve around practical issues involving training techniques and nutritional supplementation and their potential impact on human performance and health.
