Megan joined the UW-Parkside faculty in 2015 after completing her Ph.D. at The Ohio State University (O-H-I-O).

Prior to her doctoral program, Megan worked in Student-Athlete Services at both the University of Alabama-Birmingham and Bowling Green State University. Her focus was on student-athlete success in the classroom.

This work experience helped to shape Megan’s research area, which focuses on the lives of student-athletes beyond the playing field. Specific focus areas are academics and parental involvement.

Other experience Megan brought to Parkside was work with the Fort Wayne Komets (minor league hockey), Perrysburg YMCA, NFL Experience, and coaching basketball and ultimate.

Currently Megan is on the editorial board for the International Journal of Sport Management. She also continues to coach, but now it is her daughter’s softball.
