I am the nursing Academic Advisor for the UW-Parkside/UW-Milwaukee Nursing Consortia. I also work with RN-BSN Completion students who live in the Racine, Kenosha, and surrounding areas. As a first-generation college student, I have a deep-rooted passion for helping students by supplying information and guidance to them to enrich their collegiate journey. I am an animal lover with three dogs (Ruby, Lucy and Brody) and two cats (Tilly and Ziggy). I enjoy spending time with my family, baking treats and being outdoors kayaking or hiking.
Teaching Interests
I enjoy teaching and leading workshops on topics about leadership, student involvement, networking and campus resources.
Research Interests
As an advisor I am always researching how to best support students. This includes teaching and learning at a distance such as online methods, student services and student development theory and practice.
Consulting Interests
I work with and advise freshman, transfer and second degree seeking students. This includes both pre-nursing and the professional major.
