Ayesu is the Assistant Professor of Music in Music Theory and Contemporary Commercial Music here at the University of Wisconsin Parkside. He wrote and composed “Lulu and the Long Walk,” which won “Best New Musical for Young Audiences”. He was nominated for “Best Music Director” for the same production. Ayesu composed and wrote lyrics for “What’s Left” commissioned by New York Film Academy. He was a Jonathan Larson Grant Finalist in 2021. Ayesu is a UW-Parkside alumni and earned his MFA in Musical Theater Writing at NYU TISCH School of the Arts.
