Orientation

Welcome to the Ranger family! We are so excited to have you join us at UW–Parkside. Starting college is a massive milestone, and while it’s normal to feel a mix of nerves and excitement, we’re here to make sure you hit the ground running. Orientation is where you’ll meet your future classmates, get a feel for your new home, and begin the transition into this next great chapter of your life.

The International Student Orientation is designed to help you:

• Welcome you to campus and introduce you to fellow U.S. and international students.
• Explore key campus resources through guided tours.
• Navigate essential details, including course registration, health insurance, housing, banking, and health & safety.
• Understand immigration & work regulations, including SEVIS document processing and internship opportunities.
• Adapt to U.S. culture and academic life, with access to local resources, the Friendship Program, and the Parkside International Club (PIC).
• Finalize your academic start, including placement testing (for undergraduate degree-seeking students) and schedule adjustments.
