RUSD Education Pathway Program
In a unique partnership between UW-Parkside’s Teacher Education program, Carthage College’s Teacher Education program, Gateway Technical College, UW-Parkside’s PACC program and Racine Unified School District an innovative pathway to becoming a teacher in Wisconsin has been created and implemented for high school students.
The Education Pathway program is available at Case, Horlick, and Park high school through the Academies of Racine. The Education Pathway program is a no-cost concurrent enrollment pathway to explore the teaching profession. Students can take up to seven college teacher education courses before graduating high school.
As a student in the Education Pathway program, you will:
- Explore the teaching profession and multiple roles of the teacher.
- Gain an understanding of teacher education, which can help you decide if you want to pursue teaching as a career.
- Participate in learning experiences outside of your high school classroom through shadowing and community engagement.
- Earn up to 24 college credits through the program, at NO cost to you
