Asian Pacific Islander Desi Arab Heritage Month
Asian Pacific Islander Desi Arab (APIDA) Heritage Month is observed in the United States during the month of May. At UW-Parkside, in light of the academic calendar we celebrate in April. We honor and recognize the history, culture, and achievements of Asians, Pacific Islanders, Desis, Arabs and ALL people with heritage from the Asian continent. Join us this April in the celebration of APIDA Heritage Month!

APIDA Month Library Collection
The Library, in collaboration with the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs (OMSA) is pleased to present a curated collection of materials from notable Asian, Pacific Islander, Desi, and Arab authors and creators. The collection includes DVDs, CDs, biographies, graphic novels and more from the UW-Parkside library. These items are available for checkout with a Ranger Card or photo ID. We also have a collection that people can browse online.
APIDA Month Kick-Off

From hands-on activities like origami, henna, and games to mesmerizing performances and delicious food, experience the beauty of several countries across the Asian continent!

Cooking Class

Holi Celebration

Come join Parkside Asian Organization to learn more about the wonderful event of Holi, while also participating in Holi. Known as the festival of colors, we will be enjoying the traditional Holi celebration by the basketball court outside the Student Center.
Make sure to wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty as we will be using powdered colors!
